How Does a Zap Work?

A Zap is an automated workflow with two parts:

  • Trigger: The event that starts the automation (e.g., "new post in FeatureOS").
  • Action: What Zapier should do in another app (e.g., "create a task in Asana").

Once set up, Zaps run automatically whenever the trigger occurs.

Getting Started with Zapier + FeatureOS

  3. You'll be redirected to Zapier → log in and connect your FeatureOS account.
    • You'll need your FeatureOS API key (found in Dashboard → Organization Settings → Advanced).
  4. In Zapier: Click Create Zap.
    • Select FeatureOS as the trigger app.
    • Choose your event (e.g., new post).
    • Connect FeatureOS using your API key.
  5. Add your action app (e.g., Slack, Jira, HubSpot).
  6. Configure the action (e.g., send Slack message, create task, update record).
  7. Test the workflow → name your Zap → turn it on.
