Keep customers in sync between Salesforce and FeatureOS - submit feedback, vote on behalf of contacts, and sync opportunity data seamlessly.

Official Integration
Sales

Salesforce is where your opportunities live, and FeatureOS is where your customer feedback lives. With the Salesforce + FeatureOS integration, you can connect the two, helping your sales team upvote or create feedback posts directly from Salesforce opportunities.

This way, your product team knows not only what features customers want, but also what revenue impact those features carry. The result: smarter, revenue-driven prioritization that helps you hit your growth milestones faster.

Note: The Salesforce integration is available in the Fly High plan.

Getting Started with Salesforce + FeatureOS

  1. In FeatureOS: Go to Dashboard → Organization Settings → Integrations → Salesforce.
  2. Enter your Salesforce subdomain (e.g., for hndemo2-dev-ed.develop.lightning.force.com, the subdomain is hndemo2-dev-ed.develop).
  3. Click Connect → authorize FeatureOS in Salesforce.
  4. Back in FeatureOS: Install the Hellonext (FeatureOS) component in Salesforce.
    • During installation, choose Rename conflicting components if prompted.
  5. Once installed, return to FeatureOS and configure contact and account sync:
    • Sync Contact Names → keeps contact names in sync from Salesforce to FeatureOS.
    • Sync Accounts → maps Salesforce account fields to FeatureOS customer attributes.
  6. Save your settings.

Adding the FeatureOS Component in Salesforce

  1. In Salesforce, go to the Sales Console → open an opportunity.
  2. Click the Settings icon → Edit Page.
  3. Drag the Hellonext (FeatureOS) component into the opportunity view.
  4. Click Save.

Now your sales team can view and act on FeatureOS directly inside Salesforce opportunities.

Submitting and Voting on Feedback from Salesforce

  • Upvote on Behalf of Prospects
    • From the Opportunity view → open the FeatureOS component.
    • Search for an existing post → upvote it.
    • Select a contact from the linked account to cast the vote on their behalf.
  • Create a Post on Behalf of Prospects
    • If no post exists, click Create.
    • Add title, description, board, and submitter.
    • Submit → the post is created in FeatureOS and linked to the Salesforce contact.
  • Private Boards Note: For private boards, you can only create posts on behalf of board members who are also Salesforce contacts.

Data Sync and Opportunity Value

  • When you vote or create a post on a prospect’s behalf, the contact is added to FeatureOS as a customer record.
  • Account fields chosen during setup sync into FeatureOS as customer attributes.
  • Opportunity data (name, account, amount, status) also syncs to the FeatureOS post.
  • When multiple opportunities are linked to the same post, their combined opportunity values show the total revenue tied to that feature.

This allows your product team to understand the financial impact of requests and prioritize features that drive revenue.

Why This Helps

  • Sales teams: Represent prospect needs without leaving Salesforce.
  • Product managers: See feature demand tied directly to opportunity value.
  • Executives: Prioritize roadmap decisions based on potential revenue impact.
