Linear

Linear is a fast, modern issue tracking and project management tool that helps teams streamline sprints, bug tracking, and software projects. With the Linear + FeatureOS integration, you can seamlessly push customer feedback into your Linear workspace as issues.

This one-way integration allows product managers to turn feedback into actionable tasks for developers, link posts to existing Linear issues, and keep everyone aligned with configurable push and sync rules.

Getting Started with Linear + FeatureOS

1. In FeatureOS: Go to Dashboard → Organization Settings → Integrations → Linear → Connect.
2. Log into your Linear account.
3. Authorize FeatureOS to access your Linear workspace.
4. Once authorized, you’ll return to FeatureOS where you can see the connected workspace and user profile.

Configuration

1. Automatic Push to Linear
   • Push posts automatically when their status changes in FeatureOS.
   • Options include:
     • Push posts immediately after submission.
     • Push after moderation approval.
2. Status Sync Rules
   • Even though this is a one-way integration, you can configure sync rules so statuses update across linked posts and issues:
     • When any linked Linear issue changes status → update the FeatureOS post.
     • When all linked Linear issues change status → update the FeatureOS post.
     • When a FeatureOS post changes status → update all linked Linear issues.

How the Linear for FeatureOS Integration Works

• Create a Linear Issue
  • From a FeatureOS post, click Push to Linear.
  • Edit Title/Description, select Team, Project, Assignee, Labels, and State.
  • Click Push to Linear → the issue is created and automatically linked.
  • Only one Linear issue can be created per FeatureOS post.
• Link Existing Linear Issues
  • From a post, click Link Issue.
  • Search by title or ID → link multiple Linear issues or sub-issues.
  • Links are two-way as FeatureOS posts appear inside Linear too.
• Unlink Issues
  • Remove associations anytime by clicking the unlink icon. The issue remains in Linear but will no longer appear in FeatureOS.
• Disconnect Integration
  • Go to FeatureOS → Organization Settings → Integrations → Linear → Configure → Disconnect.
